One More Cast's On The Water schools present the opportunity for
students to learn while they are fishing. These schools stress how to read
water, presentation techniques such as dead drifting, rod handling,
casting skills and pattern selection. Schools are taught by
Joseph and his staff of professional guides and school associates. School size is limited to insure all students receive
adequate attention and have a good chance of being successful.
Schools change locations from year to year to take advantage of the best fishing conditions. One More Cast's schools are normally two days in duration and are conducted Saturday and Sunday. Students have the responsibility for transportation,
lodging, breakfasts, dinners and their own fly fishing equipment.
Bring your gear by the shop and we'll give you a quick analysis and go over all
of your connections so there will be no wasted time.
2010
ON -THE -WATER
TROUT
SCHOOLS
We will have three On-the Water Schools plus
a One-day Advanced Trout School for 2009. All Schools will be held on the
East branch of the Eau Claire near Antigo, Wisconsin except for the One-day Advanced School
which will be held on the Bad Axe River near Viroqua. These schools are an excellent opportunity to
develop your small stream fly fishing skills as the focus of these
Schools is to make you self-sufficient on any trout stream on the
planet.
Basic Fly casting skills that include a 25
foot Pick-Up-and-Lay-down cast and a basic Roll Cast are a must for
these Schools as we will be spending the bulk of our instructional
time developing better fly on the water skills. You will learn far
more than just the basics of fly-fishing, you will learn more about
where trout live, what they eat and how to find them.
If you feel you would benefit from a casting lesson before these
School dates, don't hesitate to call me.
