Fly Casting instruction is available through scheduled classes, or on a time-available basis through individual instruction. Our approach to casting is to teach students how to teach themselves. Students learn good casting techniques, how to recognize proper casting and how to continue practicing effectively.

On-the-Water Casting Lesson
One hour Special
One day only Saturday, May 10, 2008

Want to become a better trout angler? Here is an opportunity to
receive individual instruction from Joseph Meyer while on the water.
I am offering a one-hour, individual casting lesson designed to
improve your small-stream casting skills. You will need boots and
waders as we will work on your casting, drifting and mending skills
while wading an area stream.
This is an excellent opportunity for trout anglers of all levels
to improve their skills at this reduced price. The fee for a
one-hour session is $50 for one angler or $75 for a one-hour session
for two anglers.
Individual Instruction for this one day special will take place
every hour, on the hour from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sign-up and
payment must be made in advance and you can designate the time slot
that works for you by calling the Shop at 708.482.4990.

Beginning
Fly Casting
Clinic
Casting clinics are limited in size so that every student receives
individual attention and are held Saturdays and occasionally
Sundays. They last four hours during which students receive
instruction on how to accomplish techniques and receive individual
time with the instructor during practice. By the end of class,
students will have enough skills to begin fly casting and fly
fishing, but more importantly will have the knowledge of how to
continue improving.
Students meet at the store 15 minutes prior to
class time, at 11:45 a.m.
Just before class starts
we will drive to our practice area 5 minutes from the store.
Pre-registration is required and may be made by phone (708-482-4990) using Visa or Master Card or may be made at the Store using anypayment means.
Class Fee is $65 and students provide their own equipment unless otherwise noted.
2008 Casting Clinic Dates announced soon
Your instructors are Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructors, Sage Casting Instructors, or former Orvis Instructors with a minimum of 8 years teaching experience. Fly fishing and fly casting are a lot of fun, and your instructors want your class time to be enjoyable and successful.
Good fly casting is not difficult but does require some practice. But, best of all, the rewards are great from the satisfaction of accomplishment and success on the water.
Students need to register at least 1 day prior to class. Class size is limited to ensure all students receive individual attention during class.
We
will be glad to answer your questions or register you for casting
instruction. Please ask for Joseph or Bob at 708-482-4990.

Individual instruction is available for one student to small groups during times when classes are not scheduled. Although many students use individualized instruction to improve techniques or learn new skills, this instruction is also for beginning students. Individual instruction is set up in advance with the instructor.
